Our very first Rejuvenation light fixture is now installed! It’s the Three Forks light with polished nickel finish and 5-inch ridged satin shades.

I debated whether to buy a Lowe’s fixture or spring for the fancy (read: pricey) one from Rejuvenation, and it’s clear now that I made the right decision. The light and sink are like sisters separated at birth, and now they are reunited on our wall just like in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries.

So now we can figure out what kind of mirror we want. Hard as I tried, it was impossible to envision how the space between the sink and light would work.

Even with the light there, I couldn’t picture it. So I decided to make faux mirrors for testing purposes from the white Tyvek envelopes I keep on hand to ship international packages.

Surprise, surprise, Darwin likes vertical, and I like horizontal.

But I think what we both like is the mirror taking up the whole space – we just differ on which dimension is more important, width or height.

So I’ve decided the perfect solution is a 21-inch-by-21-inch square mirror that will take up the full space. Now to find such a mirror.

Since your sink has such lovely curvy lines, why not get a mirror that’s oval or circle or has curvy scroll-type edges? Beve/led edges, antique looking, you know the type… it would be stunning!

I would have a local glass shop cut the mirror for me, beveling the edges. A frame might compete with your lovely light fixture.

I definitely worry that a frame would compete. That’s why I was admiring the lovely nickel-framed mirrors at Restoration Hardware. But they’re sooo expensive.

Oh Kristen- that looks soooo pretty! I’ve been not on blog as much as before and am just now seeing your sink & light in.

A beveled edge mirror would be lovely I agree.

Ooh, I never thought about having our glass guy bevel mirror edges – they can do that? Good to know, thanks Meredith!

I agree – a nice understated mirror will make your light and sink take center stage. As they should. I love the curves on that sink! And I’m jealous that you have a Rejuvenation fixture. I often drool, but never buy.

That looks amazing! I can’t believe what a transformation. I adore the sink too.

Beautiful! I often look at their website, but knowing prices will be high and my wife liking deals, I end up not spending much time on their site. Looks great though, more “ammo” to use on my wife when we finally restore our bathroom and want a nice place in there!

Thate light fixture is perfect. Definitely a great choice. It really goes with the pedestal sink very nicely.

As far as your mirror goes, I prefer the horizontal shape as well. The vertical one seems to really “close in” the space, while the horizontal one seems more natural. It might be slightly less useful to your visitors because it only gives about a foot of use, but I think the proportions are better going at least that wide.

You don’t necessarily have to go with a rectangle, but I do think it should be at least that wide.

I love the ambeiance that beveled glass gives to the look of a room. Gives the room kind of warm feeling and welcoming feeling.
    Good job!
