The built-in bookcase under our master bathroom window is now complete!

After much planning and many drawings, we finally (with the expert assistance of our neighbor Ken) cut all the pieces for the bookcase last weekend.

This weekend, Darwin nail-gunned it together and caulked it up nice and pretty, and then I primed and painted it. You can admit it – it’s the prettiest bookcase you’ve ever seen, right?

We also painted a second and third coat on the bathroom floor:

And cut, primed and painted the baseboards (Benjamin Moore Glacier White, left, primer on the right):

We’re getting so close I can taste it!

    Whooo – that’s adorable :)

And, for some reason, I can now comment in Firefox. Which means you’ve got two accomplishments to celebrate today.

YAY! Another Firefox user checking in to say the problem seems to be fixed!

The bookcase looks great. What will be next to this bookcase and what will you use it for? Storing lotions and potions? Reading material while one “rests” on the “throne”?

I really love the paint color, Kristin. Great choice!
